?

Anyone?

Obama supports gun rights. McCain supports gun rights.

Obama is against late term abortions. McCain says he is anti-abortion
but has taken a position so extreme that nothing will happen from
it...possibly intentionally.

Obama says troops will stay in Iraq for 18 months...so does McCain.

Obama says he will listen to the commanders to continue the war in
Iraq (with the Democrats just promoting Bush's Iraq war commander to a
higher role), which is what McCain is saying, as well.

Obama is in favor of the death penalty for child rapists and,
now...apparently...Osama...
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080711/ts_alt_afp/usvoteattacksobamabinladen_080711212046
....and McCain is in favor of the death penalty, also.

According to reports, both will increase some taxes for their
programs, both will restructure No Child Left Behind, both will
support charter schools and teacher performance pay (from Obama's own
mouth), etc.

Can someone tell me the major difference between these two
candidates? In some areas, Obama actually seems more conservative
than McCain (government funds to religious groups, specific abortion
restrictions given, etc), and Obama has rejected his own liberal
positions from earlier in the campaign (when he needed to get the
nomination)...while McCain has rejected his conservative positions
needed to beat Huckabee. Thus, they are both frauds, and they are
both saying the same thing, now, to get elected. I guess this is what
both parties get for choosing a slick politician over principle. Who
knows what they will do if actually elected?

Your post is excellent.

There are important differences.

Barack Obama is THE KING OF STARVATION, and wishes to expand biofuel
mandates and subsidies, which are skyrocketing the cost of food all
over the world and increasing by millions the number of people who die
of malnutrition every year. John McCain opposes this and will end
biofuel subsidies and will reduce or eliminate biofuel mandates.
Ironically, black people are disproportionally negatively effected by
Obama's obscenely ignorant and callous food and energy policies. It
should be noted that Tom Daschle, national co-chairman of Obama's
campaign, serves on the boards of three large ethanol companies.
Obama himself is often flown around the country at reduced rates on
corporate jets owned by the giant corn-ethanol corporation, Archer
Daniels Midland (ADM).

It is true that McCain and Obama's Middle East policies have been
getting pushed closer together, and more difficult to differentiate.
Both men want to have most US troops out of Iraq by 2013, but neither
makes any guarantees. I think it is likely that Obama has a more
reasonable foreign policy and will be less belligerent and trigger
happy than McCain.

McCain wisely supports nuclear energy and oil drilling on US soil,
while Obama wants to block all real energy development in favor of
phony, trendy and fake energy endeavors like solar, wind, and more
food world starving biofuels. Solar and wind are a joke because they
are way too expensive and produce far too little energy to run our
industrialized civilization. How much solar and wind energy are you
going to collect on a still, windless night?

Obama is a street hustler with a Harvard education who does not
understand the basic issues. McCain is an old, beat-up but sincere
man with a bad temper, an itchy trigger finger, and some really bad
ideas about American imperialism and our presumed ownership of the
world. McCain is more authentic and less of a phony than Obama, but
McCain has some truly dangerous foreign policy ideas and will always
put the interests of Israel ahead of the American people, whom he is
supposed to represent.

For all the biofuel disaster facts, and details of far better
alternatives see - http://home.att.net/~meditation/bio-fuel-hoax.html

Obama’s record on gun control differs from ads
05/30/2008

Recently, Sen. Barack Obama has been running radio ads in Montana
declaring that he is a friend of gun owners and sportsmen, and
promising to protect our right to own guns and continue to enjoy our
hunting heritage.

Here is Obama’s past record on gun ownership issues:

In 1996 Obama’s Illinois state senate campaign answered a
questionnaire indicating his support for a blanket ban on the
manufacture, sale, and possession of handguns in Illinois.

In 2000, Obama sponsored a “one-gun-a-month” law for the residents of
Illinois, (they could not buy more than one gun in any one month).

Obama has supported bans on ammunition magazines, to require the use
of gun locks on all guns, supported renewal of the 1994 Clinton gun
ban, and California style registration.

In July 2005, Obama voted against the “Protection of Lawful Commerce
in Arms Act,” which was passed to keep those who manufacture firearms
from being sued when a crime is committed with one of their products.

He proposed a federal law banning licensed firearm dealers from
operating within five miles of any school or park, nationwide. This
would effectively close down most gun shops throughout the country.

In 1999, on a vote in the Illinois Senate on whether to try teenage
gang-bangers as adults when they fire a gun on or near a school
ground, Obama voted “present,” (which equates to a “no.”).

In 2001, when Illinois lawmakers tried to control rampant gang
violence by making gang members eligible for the death penalty when
they commit murder to help their gang, Obama voted against the
measure.

He opposes right-to-carry laws and supports federal legislation to ban
the right to carry for everyone but police officers.

Obama supports Washington, D.C.’s total ban on handguns in the home
for self defense.

His record shows that he is about as anti-gun as anyone can be. He is
totally misrepresenting his position on gun ownership to the voters of
Montana. I hope we all keep this in mind on Election Day.
