Hi everybody,

My name is Armaou Maria. I'd like to inform you about my dissertation
project on the relationship between the strengths of character and
subjective well being of secondary school teachers that is being
undertaken as part of my MSc degree in Occupational Psychology at the
University of Nottingham.

Till the end of August, there will be an on-line survey, in which
secondary school teachers who volunteer to participate need to
complete: a) the VIA Signature Strengths Survey and b) two brief
questionnaires regarding their subjective well-being and job
characteristics. This will take approximately 35 minutes. This
research has been approved from the ethics commitee of the University
of Nottingham.

Participation is entirely voluntary and all responses will be
confidential and be used for research purposes only. The target
population of this research is english-speakers (english as 1st
language) secondary school teachers. So I do hope that some of you
that read that post may be eligible and
interested in participating before leaving for your holidays!!

In short, the aim of this research is to explore the occupational
pattern of character strengths, how they are related to life
satisfaction, and how parameters of teachers' job affect this
relationship.

In order to participate in this survey you only have to visit the
following web site address:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: For the first part, you need to complete a free
registration page, creating a username (an e-mail address), personal
password and entering in the last tab of this registration page the
research code: MAR002. Then you can move on to the Survey-center and
select the VIA
Strengths Questionnaire. At the end of this page you can find the
"privacy policy" of the institute.
NO IDENTIFIABLE DETAILS WILL BE SHARED AND ALL RESPONSES WILL BE
CONFIDENTIAL AND USED FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY.
This profile will allow you get IMMEDIATE FEEDBACK on your strengths.

The administration of this questionnaire is free and anybody can take
it, for this reason potential participants need to enter the research
code: MAR002 in the LAST tab of their profile in order ONLY their
resaponses to be aggregated in the huge database of the VIA institute.
